Teiber Trio Biography | Regino Madrid | Charlie Powers | Derek Smith

A native of Wisconsin, Derek Smith began his musical studies at age three and received both his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees at the Manhattan School of Music.  An experienced chamber musician, he co-founded the Sebastian Chamber Players and the Lorenzo String Quartet.  Derek has performed with Isidore Cohen, Pinchas Zukerman, the Guarneri String Quartet, and the American String Quartet.  The Manhattan School awarded him the Hugo Kortzchek Chamber Music Award for his outstanding work in the chamber music community.
